North East Showcase event

Last week, our team in the North East hosted a showcase event to highlight the achievements of the Refugee Employability Programme since it launched in September.

The event was attended by representatives from four local Jobcentres as well as community organisations including The Comfrey Project, Compact for Race Equality in South Tyneside (CREST, West End Refugee Service (WERS), The Hub Advice Project, TRN Ltd, and WEA

We were delighted to welcome five of our Service Users to share their experiences of how the Refugee Employability Programme is supporting them to begin their new lives in England.

The day was a great success with some valuable relationships being formed. We were excited to discuss potential collaborations which may provide our Service Users with additional support such as further ESOL courses and help with obtaining English language proficiency qualifications.

We look forward to hosting more events like this in future and continuing to strengthen our relationships with community partners.
